Billy Owens is obsessed with his ex-girlfriend. Not wanting her to ever fall in love with anyone else, he decides to kill her. Billy covers up the crime by taking on a different name and now goes through life as Kevin Shane. Laurel is a serious student and falls head over heels for the confident Kevin. As Laurel struggles to get out of her mother Jessica's pressure, Kevin becomes more and more captivated. However, Jessica finds out that Kevin is not the person he claims to be and, in a race against time, tries to save her daughter from his hands.
