Voice of the Whistler plot
"The Strange Case of the HAUNTED Lighthouse!"
Wealthy John Sinclair, who has no friends and is in poor health, is advised by his doctor to take a long vacation. On the way to the "Great Lakes", Sinclair becomes unwell in Ernie Sparrow's taxi. Sinclair is taken to the hospital where he meets the nurse Joan Martin. Joan Martin is engaged to assistant doctor Fred Graham. The doctors tell Sinclair that he has a few months to live and that he must go to the state of Maine, where the healthy climate would allow him to live longer. Sinclair asks Joan to marry them and promises her that she will inherit everything and she accepts his offer. Joan's fiancé isn't happy about that.

This crime story in which a voice over the story is introduced as standard has a nice design but unfortunately does not convince enough.
Murder to get rid of a rival is of course a well-known fact, but unfortunately not very well developed in this story, which is a shame because the potential was certainly there.
