"Daring naval rescue-raid off Korea !"
During the Korean War, the submarine commander White must dive quickly to prevent the destruction of his submarine by the enemy. White was able to save the crew, only the gunner who was still upstairs drowned. Other than torpedoman Boyer, no one finds White guilty of the gunman's death. White also feels guilty; he doubts his decision and turns to his fiancée Carol for support.
