Guilty Bystander plot
"How innocent can a bystander be?"
Max Thursday, an alcohol-addicted ex-cop, now works as an assistant at a cheap room rental company. Thursday's ex-wife Georgia drops by one night when Max is drunk again and tells him that their three-year-old son Jeff is missing. Max has no choice but to try to stay sober and look for his kidnapped son. He roams the underworld of New York.
