Cloak without Dagger plot

While fashion journalist Kyra Gabaine is staying in a London hotel, a fashion model is murdered during a fashion show. At the hotel, Kyra stumbles upon her former lover, Felix Gratton, who was an intelligence officer during the war, but to her dismay now goes through life as a hotel clerk. She discovers that an espionage intrigue goes back to ten years ago and is connected to Gratton. She hires hotel detective Fred Borcombe, and together they try to unravel the plot.
