Behind the Rent Strike plot

This documentary is set in the suburb of Kirby in Liverpool in 1979. Director Bloomfield follows the tenants of this residential area in their everyday lives. Thus he sketches, without sparing himself, the yawning chasm between politics, education and media on the one hand and the duped working class revolting on the other. The viewer gets a glimpse of the human struggle behind a national scandal.
