He Fengming plot
Fengming, or Mrs. He, has experienced first hand all of China's turbulent recent history. About a pivotal year in that history, she wrote a book that is a record of a hard life that didn't just affect her: 1957, when moderate forces lost it in China. Filmmaker Bing Wang gave the woman plenty of space to tell her story in this 'talking head' documentary.
