"Because a life can grow anywhere."
Ray Tuckby is a decent and tempered man who lives in the bone-dry village of Trona, which is run by the local rascal Dirk. He realizes that he could have had a better life, but he decided to stay in Trona because of his childhood memories of this city. An unexpected event makes Ray decide to radically change tack, in order to make his life go in a different direction.
