Cage of Gold plot
"The drama of a girl threatened by her past"
In post-war Britain, artist Judith ends her affair with a young doctor when her more fashionable wartime boyfriend Bill Brennan shows up again. When she becomes pregnant they get married, but suddenly he has disappeared and she is alone without a cent in her pocket. Therefore, she seeks help from her former friend the doctor, and their friendship resumes. When the papers report the husband's death, they get married, but Brennan is still alive and ready to prove who he really is.
