Moscow, early 90s. Polina is an 8-year-old gifted ballerina. From a humble background, she joins the prestigious school of Professor Bojinsky, who trains dancers for the Bolshoi ballet. He immediately sees the enormous potential of Polina and has her train so hard that at just 18 years old her dream finally comes true and she can join the prestigious ballet. Then she meets Adrian, a charming French dancer. He not only introduces her to love, but also to a new dance form.

The director is a choreographer and dancer himself, which is evident in the love for the profession he puts into this film.
Connoisseurs will enjoy this and even the unfamiliar, to which I certainly belong, are captivated after a while by the long dance scenes, varied in style and beautifully portrayed.
What's more, people can easily find the story of Polina, an ambitious and determined young dance talent.
Good movie. 3.5 is a good score, although a small 4 wouldn't be out of place either.
