Paris, 1967. Director Jean-Luc Godard shoots La Chinoise with the woman he loves, Anne Wiazemsky. They are in love, happy and married, but the reception of the film during its release raises fundamental questions for Godard. May '68 will amplify this process and this crisis will transform Godard into a Maoist and extraordinary artist, both a misunderstood and enigmatic figure.
