Hear and Now plot

When the director's deaf parents at the age of 65 decide to have a cochlear implant together, which should enable them to hear something, their daughter decides to follow the process with the camera. After the operation - which comes into full view, up to and including the inner ear - the mother in particular has difficulty adapting to the new situation. The father appears to be able to deal with the new hearing better. The daughter registers alone and leaves the emotions to her parents.
