Brooklyn Sonnet plot

"A young man must decide between a life on the streets and a career in the theater."

Young actor Jimmy O'Conner has only one ambition: to flee the criminal neighborhood in Brooklyn where he grew up. He gets the chance of a lifetime when he's asked by famed Broadway producer Helen Manners to star in one of her productions. But leaving his old neighborhood alive becomes impossible when Jimmy suddenly witnesses a brutal murder by his friend Tommy and the psychopathic mobster Nunzio.
