Very funny.
Had never heard of it. Apparently it's also part of a long-running franchise, but the older movies aren't too popular here either. In any case, this film has the advantage that it contains an extremely large number of well-known characters, so one way or another you will eventually get to it.
On the one hand it is a somewhat crazy children's film (reminds me a bit of Matilda), in terms of direction it rather referred to young Jan Kounen. Quite wild and crazy. That's actually quite a cool combination that also fits well with the setting.
You should absolutely not take it seriously, the film makes that sufficiently clear. Furthermore, especially positive that the pace remains good and that the film does not take too long. After 90 minutes it has also been good and it is closed appropriately. Part 2 of this reboot coming soon.

Annoying.
St. Trinian's was a movie I wanted to put on especially because of the high school setting. Sometimes those movies completely charm me. However, I didn't know much about the movie beyond that. When the film then started with a very energetic, but especially deadly way of comedy, I immediately knew that I had chosen the wrong film.
Out of stubbornness I watch them out, because I would nevertheless like to give them a voice, but apart from a number of successful and dryly funny jokes, that turned out to be quite a task. It's all very much pushed in your face. A lot of dryness, a lot of lightness, but rarely a moment that really manages to catch on in the chaos. In between, a kind of bouncing story is also worked out, but that didn't really cross my mind.
The points mainly go to the acting, because everyone knows very well who they want to be and what they have to be. In any case, that ensures that the film never becomes uncomfortable, because other similar films sometimes suffer from that. I especially missed some structure and some contribution from the direction to give it all the right tone. For example, the editing and editing are very below par to keep up with a film like this.
I don't need to say much more about it. These are not the movies I usually like. In the beginning I could sometimes chuckle for a while, then it became mainly to sit out and persevere. Nicely acted, quite loud, but otherwise a rather tiring sit that does anything and everything, but not in a way that really charms me.

Despite all the very different reactions, this film is one of my favorites, not in terms of quality, but because this film is wonderfully hilarious, especially after about 40 minutes.
