Remainder plot
A heavy object falls through a glass ceiling onto the head of young Tom (Tom Sturrigde). When he wakes up after a coma, he doesn't remember anything and barely knows who he is. Tom receives a hefty £8.5 million compensation from the responsible bank in exchange for secrecy about the incident. One image has stayed with him: a boy at the top of the stairs in an old house points to an old woman. Hoping to get his memory back, Tom buys the building in question, fills it with people, and stages this scene over and over.
