Trouble in Paradise plot
Ann Kusters, an interpreter at the European Parliament and wife of the Rotterdam shipping magnate Eric Kusters, is in a relationship with a French Member of the European Parliament. He is secretly working on an investigation into the involvement of member states in illegal arms trade. The group Redpeace, based on the radical action group Onkruid, threatens to send Eric Kusters photos of the intimate togetherness of Ann Kusters and the French Member of Parliament if Ann hands them non-secret documents from the secret arms trade investigation. When the French Member of Parliament is subsequently murdered, Ann Kusters contacts an old friend, a Belgian journalist. Together with a Dutch colleague who has been behind the international arms smuggling for some time, Belgian journalist Carl tries to unravel the conspiracy.
