Gusarskaya Ballada plot
The story is set during the Napoleonic invasion of Russia. Young woman Shura (Larisa Golubkina) decides to teach her dull and self-righteous fiancé (Yuri Yakovlev) a lesson in humility by dressing up as a man and joining the army. She grows into a hero.
