Pride and Glory plot
"Truth. Honor. Loyalty. Family. What are you willing to sacrifice?"
New York police officer Ray Tierney has withdrawn from the force for years after he became embroiled in a scandal. When four of his old colleagues, commanded by his brother Francis, are brutally murdered, Ray decides to rejoin the Corps and investigate the murder. His brother-in-law Jimmy, also working in the same corps, also appears to have a share in the case.

When I wanted to vote for this film on MM, I only found out that I had already voted and therefore had already seen the film. That says enough. I had completely forgotten about this movie.
Corruption within the police is always a good basis for a crime film, but Pride and Glory is unfortunately an exception. Wasn't a cohesive movie. Poor acting and bad script. I'm big on Edward Norton, but this isn't his best role.
The family connection between Jimmy, Franny and Ray was not credible to me.
Too bad, could have been more.

Very nice police video with the necessary and usual ingredients. Rock hard from time to time, the necessary action, corrupt cops, police brutality, trouble in the family and the usual cop, whether or not from internal affairs, who can fix the business. Most actors do their best, script fairly predictable but all in all not a crazy sight on a night.

Norton and Voight are not my favorites, although I did not like Norton in this film. Great crime film with a story that could just have happened. Credible and realistic. One thing I absolutely didn't like in this movie, it just didn't make sense, and that was the fight scene between Ray and Jimmy in the bar. Not the fight itself, but the reason why it had to be this way. The ending of the film could have been better. Other than that, I had a great time with this suspenseful movie.
