Le Couteau sous la Gorge plot

Pacos, a man from Malta, is chasing a Chinese for murdering someone. The Chinese organizes a kidnapping of the son of a doctor who previously cared for Pacos. He demands ransom. Pacos arranges for the ransom to be delivered and shoots the Chinese. From then on, the doctor does everything he can to avoid going to jail for Pacos, because he knows that Pacos is basically a good guy and he respects him too.
