Treed Murray plot
The smart, fast Murray Roberts works as an advertising executive and takes control of his city life. One wrong turn in a large urban park reveals the limits of his control and his own limitations. Murray's way is blocked by Carter, a 14-year-old aspiring mugger. If Carter persists, Murray reacts and knocks him to the ground. This has alarming consequences when a threatening youth gang emerges from the forest. Murray does what anyone would do in such a situation; he flees! Worried and exhausted, he takes refuge in a massive old tree. The gang led by the charismatic Shark makes camp under the tree. Murray doesn't want to be a victim: he turns out to be a persistent fighter. He manipulates and pits the gang members against each other. Although Shark also emerges as an equally adept salesman, selling his opinion to the gang. As Murray and Shark's war escalates, it becomes clear that first impressions are deceptive.
