Weergevonden plot

When a blind Jew learns that his eldest daughter has become engaged to a non-Jewish doctor, he disowns her. However, because she provided the income, the family got into financial difficulties. Eventually they end up in a cellar and have to live off the sale of yarn and tape. But then the time comes when the family needs a doctor and the non-Jewish doctor is the one who can come to the rescue.
