Timber is an energetic Husky who suddenly appears at the door of the ranch of 12-year-old Mikey Jones and his family. Mikey's grandfather left Timber to him and Timber arrives just in time. Casper Stonewall is in the process of buying up all the ranches in the area that can't pay their debts to the bank. Mikey's family ranch is one of them. Fortunately, Timber is there. He has an important clue about a local legend that leads to a buried treasure. Everyone except Mikey and his best friend Billie believes it's just a myth. Because no one believes the story of Cloud Peak's lost treasure, Mikey and Billie take Barbecue the bulldog and Kaia the labrador on a crazy adventure. Together with Timber, they try to save Mikey's family's ranch.
