L'Amore plot
In the first story of the film, "The Human Voice", a woman has a telephone conversation with her lover, who has broken off their relationship to marry someone else. He calls her several times in one night. In the second story, "The Miracle", a homeless woman believes that the man she met on a hill is Saint Joseph. He takes advantage of the situation. When she is discovered that she is pregnant, she believes it is a miracle. The villagers mock her and she gives birth to a baby, near a closed church, in the straw of a goat shed.
