Shisha no Sho plot

The young noble Iratsume falls under the spell of Buddha and spends nights studying his teachings. One night she sees a ghost. Convinced that this is Buddha, she follows the apparition to a remote temple. There she discovers that it is the restless soul of the wrongly executed Prince Otsu. He sees Iratsume as one of her ancestors: Mimimo No Toji. Her beautiful face was the last Otsu saw before his death and he cannot rest as long as her face haunts him. A battle of wills erupts between the ghostly prince who wants to return from the afterlife and Iratsume who wants to flee to the spiritual world.
