Shark Attack plot

"The worlds deadliest predator just got angry..."

The population of an African fishing village is terrorized by a series of shark attacks. The fishermen see their livelihoods disappear and tourism comes to a standstill. Marc Desantis, a scientist at the Natal Marine Research Center, is kidnapped by thugs and fed relentlessly to sharks. His death is considered an accident. When biologist Steven McKray (Casper van Dien) learns that his friend Marc has become the most recent victim, he travels to the distant continent to find out why the sharks behave so aggressively. There Steven meets Marc's sister, who is also a biologist and does not believe that her brother's death was an accident.

Shark Attack is yet another shark movie that tries to approach beautiful Jaws, but doesn't even come close.

But what do you want with someone like Casper van Dien in the lead role. If you want to see someone who delivers bad acting, then you should keep an eye out for him here. Furthermore, there is also very little positive to discover. The special effects are very mediocre. The script is below par and even the sharks don't always seem to feel like it. Not to mention stress. An idea is then to put female clean and/or naked in it, but that doesn't happen here either.

Shark Attack is seriously below par in everything, and as far as I'm concerned this can be fed directly to the sharks.

sharks.

Anyone who is convinced that only bad shark films are made today and that everything used to be better has clearly not seen the shark film Shark Attack. This series was apparently successful enough to have sequels, the third part of which has become something of a cult classic.

In any case, it's all just mediocre stuff. Unbelievable that it only took Van Dien two years to appear in this kind of nonsense after his previous success. He really started his career with hope, but something went wrong somewhere. An ideal example of an actor who failed to preserve his own quality. His performance is not particularly special, and the same goes for the other members of the cast.

The shark attacks consist of scenes in which you just see a real shark swimming around quietly and in between a fake thing is occasionally floated. It does not provide any form of tension, nor does it feel as if Misiorowski really wanted to make a shark film. The entire finale is almost in the context of action, and funnily enough, the best scenes also come from there. There was even room to blow up some things.

It should be obvious why a film like this isn't exactly successful. It all just comes across as easy and nonsensical. Not a single scene radiates a certain threat or danger. Feels more like they've all dipped their legs in the water together. A failed film with an interesting concept. Bonus points for an even more spectacular final, but that's about it.
