Vase de Noces plot
"He prefers a sow. And he will know the enjoyment and the joys of fatherhood."
The main character in 'Vase de Noces' is a being in the form of a human but without humanity: a fallen angel, half animal, half divine. In the absence of humanity - the quality that mediates between the two extremes, the animal and the divine - the animalistic gains the upper hand. The fallen angel mates with a sow, which gives birth to three piglets. For a moment, the fallen angel revives the hope of making these descendants human, who in turn will humanize him. The animalization turns out to be irreversible: he kills the piglets. The sow frantically runs away and drowns in the well. Thrown back to himself, the fallen angel searches for a 'tangible' solution in his own excrement.
