Amon Saga plot

Amon is a young warrior on a hopeless quest to avenge the death of his mother. When his hunt leads him to Emperor Valhiss' castle, Amon must pass the entrance tests to join the Emperor's Knights Order in order to better achieve his goal. Once inside the heart of the heavily secured fortress, Amon accidentally stumbles upon the apparition of Princess Lichia, daughter of King Shem Darai. The emperor hopes to exchange the king's daughter for a card he has in his possession. But what is the emperor's purpose?
