De Waarneming plot

Frank Scheffer made a portrait of painter Robert Zandvliet. The camera explores the studio but also Zandvliet's thought process. While the artist tells what he finds important in a painting, we see him at work. That work consists of mixing paint, stretching the stretcher, trying out brushes, but above all looking out, looking for a long time and concentrated.
