It's been a while since I've seen this movie. Maybe I'll update my review when the movie comes out again.

A very nice movie in my memory. With a lot of humor.

Found the chemistry between the players right, something that is very important for a film. Also a bit of a different movie. And that's what I like, the not so standard, predictable films.

An extra half point for the end. Really beautifully worked out. And nice supporting role from Kikuchi!

Slap stick with a twist.

Nice from scratch, one crazy plan after another as an unabashedly illogical motive to drag the story along a few beautiful places. Bland slapstick humor that is especially well put together in terms of timing. Brody, Weisz and Ruffalo and a little bit of Kikuchi are the strong point in that, without those kinds of actors it would hardly work. Brody in particular impresses and brings just that little bit of craziness that the role needs - and Weisz of course, but that's what I expected.

It is a pity that there are still a lot of open ends and plotholes. This may not be very noticeable the first time, but it does make it less rewatchable.

In retrospect, the biggest surprise about the film is that I've already seen it and that I also wrote a commentary that I don't support at all. I was especially curious to see what rating this film got. Actually, I expected a very high rating. But that's okay. The film looks nicely designed, runs well and also has amusing main characters and an amusing storyline. The story of two brothers who have developed the art of lighting to a form of perfection. One of the brothers wants to stop and the other brother comes up with one last perfect ruse to scam the perfect victim. And of course things are different. This time I was considerably more positive about the film than last time. I think I had much higher expectations last time to see a really funny movie. And apparently also some more depth of the main characters. I didn't this time. Now it was mainly a nice story and a well-running film. Although the second half did detract from the film and the story did not have to be stretched for me with another new adventure. But I do give it 3.5* now and that's a whole* more than last time.
