The intrigue of this "Les Intrigantes" is certainly not very intriguing.

It is rather a "simple" murder case, the outcome of which could be guessed from afar and which should actually rely on the actors, but since their role is small, that is not so exceptional either. Except maybe Jeanne Moreau. What a stylish femme fatale. And who certainly stands out is Etchika Choureau, while Louis de Funés, in a smaller role, is far from his successful pelvic-twitching period, although he is already blinking nicely, inappropriately and inappropriately, with his eyes.

Henri Decoin is not a great director and his best works are in my opinion before the 1950s.

Nice mix of whodunit and black comedy. I, too, was captivated by the presence of Louis de Funès in this film. At the opening credits it immediately became clear to me that it would be a small supporting role, so I immediately adjusted the expectations. And the film did not disappoint me at all, on the contrary. A tight screenplay, good performances and sparkles of humor make it a spectacle. Every now and then I am surprised how such an unknown old film can be very good.
