Lau is a grubby police officer who mainly deals with picking on women and consuming alcohol. His neglected wife mainly goes her own way, in which she has become pregnant by another man. Suddenly, however, the cop is shot in the head by a vengeful criminal. He survives the attack, but is temporarily completely dependent on his wife. He has also lost his smell and taste, which forces him to appreciate life differently.
