Il Ferroviere plot
Andrea Marcocci is a train driver and has many friends. But at Christmas, he gets into trouble. His daughter miscarries and leaves her husband. Then he gets into a fight with his eldest son, who is unemployed. And finally, he almost causes a train accident himself. His employers blame it on his drinking and demote him. His youngest son Sandro sees it all happening around him and tries to do what he can. It is he who will ensure that the family is reunited again next Christmas.
