Five severely disturbed children manage to escape from the transport to an institution. Six adults on a winter sports holiday fall victim to the youthful psychopaths when it turns out that the children are hiding in the detached hut that the group has rented.

Fair criticism, of course, that those adults get way too much screen time. Of course, we don't sit down and watch a horror movie for relationship problems and tense work relationships. But when the psycho kiddies are present, it is immediately great. They are scary as hell and very creative with the kills.

As far as I'm concerned, they won't have to ask Tarantino for tips next year. What a flute tip. The killer kids idea was later implemented much better with films such as Children of the Cornand Ils. After an hour, hardly anything has happened except a load of boring dialogue that doesn't make any sense. Only in the last twenty minutes do the kills follow, but it doesn't get anywhere scary, atmospheric or exciting. Very bland.

Technically quite weak but substantively quite disturbing slasher about five seriously disturbed children who manage to escape while on their way to an institution. You can imagine that this film served as a model for later genre peers such as Halloween and Friday The 13th, although this boring, unsavory work does not nearly reach the level of those classics. A nice scene here and there and the finale will remain in my memory for a while, but it doesn't want to be really memorable.
