Aiseu-keki plot
South Korea in the 1960s. Ten-year-old Young-rae lives with his mother in a seaside town. Life is hard and his mother feels forced to sell illegally imported cosmetics on the street, which regularly brings her into contact with the police. Young-rae can handle this life until other kids tease him about being fatherless. When he accidentally learns that his father is not dead as he first thought but is still alive and living in Seoul, he has only one goal: to earn enough money for a train ticket. Without telling his mother, he takes a job and roams the streets of the town selling ice creams.
