La Faute à Fidel! plot
1970. Anna is nine years old. Her life is calm and simple. She commutes between Bordeaux and Paris, between her school and the parental and grandparental home. The only shadow in this peaceful scene is the uncle fighting Franco in Spain. A communist that is not talked about. But then things happen: the arrest and death of the uncle, a trip to Chile, some meetings... Events that are of little importance to Anna, but which have a major impact on her parents. Marie and Fernando are guided by concepts such as commitment, altruism, fighting against imperialism, feminism and manifesting. For Anna, this translates into other terms: moving out, chaos, different nannies, smaller bedroom, new faces. She resists and fights with her own weapons...
