Gypsy boy Jimmy Rosenberg is still in primary school when he causes a furore as the best-known successor to guitar legend Django Reinhardt. His virtuosity is unprecedented and a golden future lies ahead. When Jimmy's father goes behind bars for eight years, the family loses its solid structure and Jimmy also loses track. Addicted to drugs, he drives through the millions and loses contact with his children and their mothers. Jimmy, now twenty-five, seems to be climbing out of a deep valley. His father is released after eight years and can take care of him again. His talent is undiminished and perhaps a restart is still possible.
