"There are some fates that are worse than death..."

David walks down the street unsuspectingly and suddenly becomes the victim of a street robbery with far-reaching consequences. He loses his sight and has to go through life like a blind man. Then a mysterious apparition promises to help him. However, the price for this service is high, namely its soul. Slowly but surely, he becomes more deeply involved in a devilish and violent world, from which escape seems impossible.

Ah, how convenient. We're giving our film the title The Covenant to mislead buyers. So I thought I was going to see Renny Harlin's film (okay, I put it on an online rental list in a moment of madness), but it turned out to be this monstrosity.

Weak on all fronts: acting, camerawork, weak FX, lousy story.

Completely uninteresting monstrosity.

Certainly not a bad thriller with a decent story combined with some horror elements and suspense.

Furlong plays his role convincingly. It's a shame about the disappointing ending, and Madsen's beard is especially funny. 6/10
