Mencari Hilal plot

Mahmud (Deddy Sutomo) is a conservative Muslim, while his son Heli (Oka Antara) has a more liberal mindset. When Mahmud decides to look for the hilal, the crescent that marks the beginning and end of the Islamic month, father and son are forced to travel together. They start their journey with great reluctance. But the road trip turns out to offer them the opportunity to understand each other better and ultimately brings them closer together.
