Totò, Lascia o Raddoppia? plot

Duke Gagliardo della Forcoletta, an avid horse racing gambler, is broke when he discovers he has a daughter. His daughter, Elsa Marini, works in a cafe. Duke Gagliardo enters a TV quiz to win 5 million lire so he can buy the cafe Aurora. He quickly becomes rich and famous, and is therefore kidnapped by two gangsters for ransom.
