Peyton Place plot

"Small town America will never be the same again."

Allison MacKenzie looks back on her life in a small New England town where she grew up during World War II. Underneath the god-fearing exterior of the town and its inhabitants, however, hide dark secrets relating to sexual attraction, rape, gossip, intolerance, etc. No wonder Allison moved to New York.
