The Kyzylkum Desert, Central Asia. Eight archaeologists learn that a new cave complex has been discovered and they decide to investigate for themselves. Once inside, all hell breaks loose: two of their guides are mysteriously murdered and when they try to escape from the complex afterwards, it turns out that the exit is inexplicably completely closed off. They are trapped and the only way they can follow will only lead them deeper into the cave. They find themselves in the middle of a fight for their lives, where they are chased by an unknown presence. At the same time, their positions are threatened from outside by members of their own organization. Miles underground and surrounded by labyrinths of stone, mud, sand and water, they try to find a way to survive. On their breakneck journey to life, they come to a surprising conclusion: Some places should never be discovered or explored!
