Grandfathers have a duty to be fun guys. How else should the entertainment at family parties continue? That's not how 'grandpa' Melvin Just had understood it. His reputation is based mainly on the regular beating and sexual abuse of each of his 10 children and stepchildren. This meant that some of those (step)children in turn did not immediately grow into model citizens. For example, Melvin Just destroyed the lives of no fewer than three generations. Until James Ronald Whitney -one of Melvin's grandchildren- had had enough. Traumatized by his own family history, James acquired a camera and began documenting the story of his dismembered family. One by one, the members of the family tell their story; and then James goes to the origin of evil itself...
