Nice movie! What stands out is the underlying tension. This is very well maintained. Not only by the way the characters are portrayed but also the strong dialogues help with this.

Parker Posey gives a very strong performance here, although I think she could have come across as evena bit more crazy. The rest of the cast was also good. Even Freddie Prinz Junior and Tori Spelling give a very good performance. I'm usually not that impressed by these people, but they were really good.

I could tell that this film is based on a play but that gave it some extra atmosphere. It is a bit of a bizarre but very good film.

Mediocre film in which a fiancée is introduced to her new family. Clearly based on a play: one location and a handful of actors. A surprising plot with excellent dialogues. And despite the actors doing a good job, the whole thing sometimes comes across as a bit artificial.

The film has to rely on the special characters and dialogues and less on the visuals or action. I certainly didn't think it was a bad film. The cast did a great job and they were all good in their roles. Because the film is fairly short, there are no really unnecessary scenes.

I thought the film was worth seeing.
