We settle in a slum of Yokohama, the largest port city in Japan. The narrow alleys teem with immigrant workers from all over Asia and there is no shortage of action. The hero on duty is Maiku Hama, a converted delicacy who spends his days as a private detective. One day, he plays a savior by plucking Hai Tin, a young waiter from Taiwan, from the pugnacious clutches of two drunken yakuza. Hai is looking for his brother De Jian, his only family. This touches a nerve with Maiku, who is also alone in the world. Through the local police chief, Lieutenant Nakayama, Maiku receives news about the murder of two other yakuza. A visit to his old friend, the taxi driver aka local database Hoshino, provides the rest of the story: Yokohama has been chosen as the battleground for a war between the Hong Kong and Taiwanese mafia. Lieutenant Nakayama is on the trail of the Hong Kong gang, led by a ruthless and highly sophisticated villain, and the missing De Jian is believed to have ties to the yakuza. Maiku has no idea what awaits him.
