For years, woodcarver Mr. Meacham has delighted children with his tales of a ferocious dragon that lives deep in the dark forests of the Pacific Northwest. His daughter Grace, who works as a forest ranger, finds these stories unbelievable. Until she meets Pete. Before, Bryce Dallas battled a monster in "The Village", then dinosaurs in "Jurassic world, and now she's saving a dragon.
I haven't seen the film in 3D, maybe that's why the dragon was a bit disappointing, but in 2017 I thought it came across as a bit unrealistic and very computer-like.
The cast is good, the music, but the very sweet dragon gave me courage.
It is also a pity that the film is completely different from the original, I have not seen fire ears and sea.
It's a completely different story from the original. that's too bad.
Make a nice "real action" copy (what the original more or less already was)
Or just like Maleficent a kind of 2nd view of the original .
In any case, I do agree that the forests should remain protected, but this film is not here to stay,

That dragon as it looks - so clearly from the computer - was already impossible 15 years ago, but in 2016 I really expect more. Certainly also from Disney, because they have had the CGI in order there in recent years.
Also a terrible movie. Dead boring filmed with really nothing special to report, mediocre acting, mediocre story, very childlike in tone, nowhere exciting or even compassionate. No, actually I can't say anything positive about this. 0.5*.

Fun for kids, but this was way too much for me. The whole film can be predicted and the only thing that makes the film well-portable are the well-known headlines. Although the 'character development' is of course very forced and clichéd.
All those so-called funny moments like that kid in the 'normal' world completely miss the point. You've seen a balloon, you were 5 fucking years before you became Tarzan. And brushing his teeth was also unknown to him? good upbringing....
And when that forester's hat cheerfully announces that almost every bird you can think of lives in the forest, it also starts to itch. Ow yeah huh? Flamingos? penguins? Ostriches? Parrots? puffins? Toucan? dodo?
