Until now, this film has been banned in China about a young gay writer who regularly picks up men in a park and prefers to take on the submissive masochistic role. Homosexuality is still a strictly forbidden subject in China, in addition to films. The park where gay men pick each other up is also heavily patrolled by the police. When caught, the men are chased, humiliated or even arrested. Young writer A-Lan is also caught but on a whim, he kisses the cop who stops him on the cheek and runs off. Later, he sends the agent a novel written by him with the assignment 'For my Love'. That makes Shi, the agent in question, curious. He specially searches for A-Lan, arrests him and interrogates him for hours. While A-Lan tells him about his childhood, his quest for love and homosexual contacts, Shi becomes more and more fascinated with A-Lan.
