La Grosse Caisse plot
Louis Bourdin is a ticket cutter on the Paris metro. In his spare time he writes a book about a train robbery. After his book has been rejected by several publishers because the story is not realistic, he plans to prove that the train robbery can indeed be committed. He hires a gang of criminals for this, but things quickly get out of hand.
