Harold and Lillian: A Hollywood Love Story plot
"The greatest love story never told!"
Documentary with archival footage about Harold and Lillian Michelson, a couple whose 60-year marriage coincided with their decades-long Hollywood career. Harold worked as a storyboard artist. The precise sketches he made prior to production served as a visual reference for many directors during the shooting. For example, Mel Brooks, who has worked with him on several occasions, says: "Harold could make you look like a great filmmaker." His wife Lillian was a film researcher until her retirement in 2010. If a director wanted to know what cars, clothes or lampposts looked like in 1930, they could turn to her 'research library'. Harold and Lillian have also worked together on several occasions, including on “The Birds” and “Marnie”, Hitchcock productions that they look back on with great pride and pleasure.
