"You might be home but you're not alone"
The story is set in a quiet American suburb. It is evening, it is snowing heavily and Christmas is approaching. Deandra and Robert Lerner (Madsen and Warburton) have hired Ashley (DeJonge) as a babysitter to babysit their 12-year-old son (Miller). She will have to protect the boy when a group of strangers tries to break into the house. Within a short time, Ashley discovers that this isn't just a normal house break-in.

At first I wondered what John Milton saw in this movie but as soon as the movie went from a babysitter movie to a home invasion movie I got it 
. It does take a while, but then you get a very surprising film where you indeed need to know as little as possible in advance. Especially the bad guy acts very convincing and creepy. Obviously some kind of (megaspoiler) junior variant on that one movie by Haneke. More than 3*, against 3.5*.

I like these kind of horror movies. A new series of horror films with a small twist and some humor and above all colorful characters, even if it remains low budget. Another film with a babysitter, they have a hard time in the genre. Despite the many clichés, the film still makes something new out of it, which is certainly not evident in the genre.
