The Devil's Sleep plot

"Today's Moral MENACE !.. Daring expose of the devil drug traffic in 'Bennies', 'Goofies' and 'Phenos' as it really exists."

The papers report a disturbing number of overdose deaths. A prominent female judge sends Detective Sergeant Dave Kerrigan to investigate the case. His search leads him to a sports club where the owners sell pills to women who lose phenomenal weight. Things get complicated when the club's owners are in possession of nude photos of the judge's underage daughter.
